I would love to take a cross-country Halloween vacation and am looking for places to visit. I especially would like to know about unusual or not-well-known events and places.
I am already familiar with Salem, MA; Anoka, MN (The Halloween Capital of the World); Castle Halloween museum in Benwood, WV; the Odawa Ghost Supper in Petoskey, MI; “Meet the Spirits” in Boulder, CO; the Circleville Pumpkin Festival in Circleville, OH.

go to Canada Paramount’s Wonderland! every october they have a fearfest and they change the entire park into a haunted place in less than 2 hours
[its in Ontario]
We have a section of town that goes all out with decorations. they have two different streets that are jammed with cars and gawkers every year for Halloween. They are Blackburn Ave. and Hillcrest Ave. both are in the Crescent Hill Section of Louisville, KY and both have many very original displays that are updated every year so it is worth going back every few years, but it is not worth facing those crowds every year unless you live close by and can walk.
there are a few in austin tx and dallas tx
