Do People Dress Up In Salem, Ma The Weekend Before Halloween?

I will be going to Salem, MA this friday. I have went a few times a few years ago on halloween and it was a blast. Unfortunitly Halloween falls on wed this year and cannot get off work. So, should I plan on dressing up to go friday? Or is that something that is just saved for halloween?
Not if you’re from Salem, which I am.
However, even these past two weekends with our Haunted Happenings celebrations and street fairs going on some people (not all) have been in costume.
I’m sure they’ll be dressed up Friday. I’m going down Saturday and they’ll be dressed up then too
