The Roman Saturnalia of Dec. 25 was taken by the early church to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, while scholars conclude he was actually born during warm months, as evidenced by the shepherds in the fields, etc., and there has been a movement in recent years to mark Christmas in July. Some retail stores even have “Christmas in July” sales. As a Christian, have you ever marked Christmas in July, even in your own way? While also of course marking the Dec. 25 date?
