Every once in a while some people that are obivously Fundamentalists will go off on Halloween with all sorts of so called facts such as on this day more people get murderd or local police get reports of Satanic animal sacrifices.
Of course they never offer any hard evidence or sight reliable unbiased sourcess yet many people report it and except it like the Gospals truth.
It got me thinking what Urban Legends do people like to talk aboult in regards to Halloween? Or even what misconceptions people have about the origins of this holiday.

The newest urban legend has sprouted up here on Yahoo! Answers: Girls (and their mothers) are petrified of the girls showing a little skin, certain that they will be ogled by boys and pedos, and in fear of of them being sexually assaulted.
I have every doubt in the world of this preposterous statement, and I am saddened by the deep seated self-hatred that women must have about their own bodies to go through life hiding their beauty, their only recourse in a world where they fear to stand up for the sanctity of their own personal space against random men who would touch them and take them by force.
But they worry too much. There’s no rash of fondlings and rapings on Halloween, no one giving out candy is also “taking some candy” from a kid. Kids aren’t being kidnapped, harassed or assaulted out in the dark on Halloween any more than any other night of the year, regardless of what they’re wearing. And there are just as many parents taking their kids out as there ever were while some let their sons go out alone, no one now or ever is sending out girls by themselves.
In conclusion they idea that on Halloween, night on which one is supposed to show off, dress up, go all out, if a girl shows some skin, regardless of her age, she isn’t any more or less likely to be a victim of a sex crime, and the chances of her being the victim of a sex crime are so infinitesimal as to be nearly entirely without considering. A million girls could go trick or treating alone on Halloween and nothing would happen to them.
