Is The Ending To My Novel Too Much Like Halloween?

In house, police officer shoots killer 3 times, presumably killing him. When he enters the living room to see, he notices the front door is open and the killer is away, leaving only a pool of blood. If too much like Halloween, plz give me suggestion as to how to change it?
hahahah i love halloween. umm maybe after the second bullet the killer throws the knife( or some object) at the cop and he just leaves
